LG made significant improvements from 2017 over 2016 and there are no doubt further improvements in 2018 and again in 2019 (primarily, larger red subpixel which will reduce current density and aging rate) - there are many eager potential owners hungry for an assessment of how rhe 2019 LG OLEDs perform as far as improved immunity to burn-in.Īnd another point is that an new test does not need to be as involved as your first 2 tests. Happy this thread got your attention and hope you'll be back.Ĭan you comment on any plans at to perform another OLED Burn-in test?Īt this point, testing the 2018s would be a waste of time, so my vote would be to go straight to the 2019s (hopefully starting as early as you perform your review). Too bad i can't get to read rtings' trusted measurements on the panasonic oleds. i have a lg c8 but the gz2000 is definitely one tv on my consideration list this year, it could be one of the best tv's this year and one of the best overall 4k oled so far.Īnd pricing wise from previous year trends, i could be able have a 65 panasonic oled this year for only a little more than a samjunk koolaid flagship 480 zone lcd trash of the same screen size. they have 120hz bfi and dolby vision too. The GZ2000 this year is claiming a customized panel with 30% higher peaks (even if it comes to around 1000 nits on a hdr window, that would be something to consider) and better dark shadow detailing. Panasonics are closer to sony oleds than lg, with a couple of pluses and minuses to sony. are apparent and the near black puts out more details with none of the macroblocking artifacts that can show up on 2018 lg's on dark backgrounds. As excellent a value that lg oled provides, i think when you compare with panasonic side by side, the better looking colors on pana.
